UNINVITED VISITORS

No,  this is not a corny deer statute that we planted in our back yard. He is  part of  a deer family who is visiting our back yard veryday and eating everything in sight.

Here is the rest of its family watching me taking their pictures from the house. They are adorable animals with their white tails and huge eyes. However, they love my flowers and plants and they eat them ferociously. They come from the woods across the street from where we live. Last  Christmas evening my husband and I started to believe in Santa Clause again when we saw a small herd of deer across the street in the nearby church parking lot. We thought that Santa had parked his sled there.

Deer are so beautiful but what a pain if they eat your garden. Is there no easy way of fencing it off so it does not look ugly? Hope that all is well with you at last. Take care Diane

Ciao Al Cuoco, after a long and hard 3 months of taking care of my parents and their flooded home I'm finally getting back to normal. I'm happy to see you also. Have a wonderful week.

Hello Diane, we had a fence for many years and was an eye sore so my husband took it down!!! but we didn't have any problems with any animals roaming in our back yard. However, the deer population exploded in the recent years due to limited hunting regulations. Sadly, just today we saw 4 deer carcasses on the highway. Oh by the way couple of years ago a black bear visited our back yard causing a lot of rucus in the neighborhood. Some of my friends think that my back yard has become a zoo..... Take care
