GOOD MORNING!! ... Who wouldn't want to wake up to a smiling face? Yesterday I made couple of these happy faced breakfast treats for us and one for my neighbor's child who is a finicky eater.I brought it over to their house before she woke up and gave it to her mother. Her mother was thrilled at the idea . Later she told me that her daughter loved it and ate it all. Sometimes simple things make all the difference. One hot dog cut in half and shaped like a heart with an egg in the middle. After all who can refuse this guy????

When my sister and I were little, our grandpa made sandwiches for us in the shape of a locomotive, with slices of tomatos for wheels, or a house, with a stick of cheese as the chimney, and so on. We weren't finicky eaters, but we loved these special treats (and our grandpa!).

I love this heart shaped hot dog. What a wonderful idea! It's the kind of thing as a child, I would never forget! Ah heck, I'll be honest, I would love for someone to make this for me as an adult!
